The Elan Ripstick 96 Skis with Bindings is a fantastic choice for advanced and expert skiers who are looking for a truly versatile ski. Sitting in the middle of the Ripstick line, the skis boast a 96- millimeter waist which is about as versatile as it gets. It’s narrow enough to get some good edge grip while remaining wide enough to float through a decent amount of fresh snow. Elan has made some nice changes for this year, including the Carbon Line Technology that bolsters the inside edge stiffness and response of the skis. Feel free to stand right on this thing, as the right/left-specific build makes it so the inside edge of the ski is stiffer and more stable than the outside. This gives the ski an incredibly smooth and round shape to them that makes the transition between turns really stand out. Even bigger and powerful skiers on these skis felt like the ski was strong and sturdy, even with their light weight. A lot of that has a lot to do with the use of the carbon tubes and the Amphibio technology in the ski. Very smooth and intuitive, these Ripsticks are all about fun. Fun, playful, and light, the Elan Ripstick 96 with bindings is a true all-mountain weapon.
